DPD Pickup - How It WorksUpdated 8 days ago
What is DPD Pickup?
The DPD Pickup service allows customers to collect their packages from a nearby DPD Pickup Point rather than having orders shipped to a home address. With thousands of locations across the UK, this service is a convenient and secure delivery option to ensure parcels don’t get missed. Customers can search for and select a preferred DPD Pickup Point during the online checkout process.
Why choose DPD Pickup?
When home delivery is inconvenient or less secure, particularly for customers who are away from home during standard delivery hours, DPD Pickup is a great alternative. As well as offering convenience, delivery to a DPD Pickup Point is greener for the environment than home delivery. This is because parcels can be consolidated to a single location, reducing the number of journeys and avoiding missed deliveries. As a result, delivery vehicles spend less time on the road, leading to lower CO2 emissions.
Where are DPD Pickup locations?
DPD Pickup Points are local businesses that receive packages on behalf of customers. There are thousands of locations across the UK, and most are open 7 days a week, with some even open 24/7, ensuring customers can collect at a time convenient for them.
How does this service work?
Once a preferred DPD Pickup Point is selected during checkout and the order has been dispatched, DPD will send an email notification containing a DPD Pickup Pass once the parcel arrives at the chosen location.
Collection:
- What to bring: Customers must present the DPD Pickup Pass (sent via email) to collect their parcel. Customers may also be required to present valid photo ID that matches the name on the parcel.
- Who can collect: If a parcel is being collected on behalf of the named recipient, the person collecting must present the Pickup Pass and may be required to show valid ID.
- Timeframe: Your order will be held at the Pickup Point for 7 days from the date of arrival.
- Returns: If the order is not collected within 7 days, it will be automatically returned to our warehouse on the 8th day.
Important Notice:
If collection cannot be made within the allocated 7-day window, we strongly encourage reaching out to our Customer Service Team as soon as possible.
When notified, the team can help monitor the return within the courier network and minimise delays. If no contact is made, there is a significantly higher risk of the parcel becoming lost in transit, as it may not be properly flagged for its return journey. This can lead to significant delays in locating and processing the returned parcel.
When an order remains uncollected, it is automatically routed back to DressMeZee via an untracked service. This process can take several weeks to complete. Please be aware that we are only able to process a refund for orders that are successfully received and verified back at our warehouse.
Refund Deductions
To cover the costs associated with failed deliveries, please note that if a parcel is returned to us due to non-collection, both the initial shipping fee and the return shipping costs will be deducted from the final refund. We highly recommend collecting parcels promptly to avoid these additional charges and to ensure a smooth refund process.
