At DressMeZee, we hope every purchase is loved. If an item isn't quite right, here's everything you need to know to make a return.

How long do I have to return an item?

We offer a 14-day return period from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, all items must be in their original condition and meet the requirements outlined in this policy. 

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will process your chosen return method: 

  • Refund: The price paid for the product(s) will be refunded to the original payment method.
  • Store Credit: This option includes an extra 10% bonus added to the credit amount, perfect for finding something new. (Note: the bonus doesn’t apply to orders originally paid with store credit or gift cards.)
  • Exchange: Available for UK customers only and subject to stock availability.

Please note: The cost of return postage is the customer's responsibility, and original shipping fees are non-refundable. 

What condition do my items need to be in?

Please take extra care when trying on items. Returns will be inspected, and we reserve the right to reduce the refund amount if an item has been handled in a way that wouldn’t be allowed in a shop. This reduction may be up to the full value of the item. 

All returned items must be:

  • Original Condition:  All returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and unused, and free from stains, marks, makeup, tan, residue, or strong odours (e.g., perfume, deodorant, smoke).
  • Tags and Ribbons: All original tags, hygiene stickers, and security ribbons must be intact and attached. Please keep them on the item(s) until the decision to keep them has been made.
  • Packaging: To ensure your return arrives safely, please pack it securely to prevent any damage during transit and be sure to include your order details inside the parcel. Missing information may cause delays in processing your refund or exchange.
  • Unaltered and Undamaged: This includes any sewing, rips, tears, pinning, or any form of adjustment. Items must be returned in the exact condition they were received in.
  • Matching Sets and Co-ords: All items in a set must be returned together. We are unable to accept partial returns or swaps for individual pieces within a set.
  • Swimwear, Bodysuits, and Undergarments: Please try them on over underwear. The hygiene sticker must remain attached, intact, and unbroken.
  • Non-Returnable Products: For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on earrings or any pierced jewellery, beauty products (e.g., lashes, face masks, adhesives), or items marked final sale at checkout.

What else do I need to know?

Here are some helpful details to keep in mind when making a return: 

  • Faulty Items: If an item appears to be faulty, please get in touch as soon as possible and do not wear the item. Email: [email protected] with the order number and images of the fault so we can help.
  • Return Deadlines: Once a return label has been issued, items must be sent back within 14 days of the label being generated. The label will expire after this timeframe, and returns will not be accepted.
  • Return Processing: Once your return has been received, please allow up to 14 days for your refund or store credit to be processed.
  • Return Tracking: It's recommended to keep a copy of the return tracking number until the refund or store credit has been processed.
  • Lost or Damaged Returns: We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service. While we'll do our best to assist with parcels sent using our return label, we cannot accept liability or assist with items lost or damaged if you choose to use your own courier.
  • International returns: Any customs fees or import duties incurred on international returns are the customer’s responsibility.

What happens if my return is rejected?

Every return is handled with care. If an item is returned in a condition that does not meet our return policy, or if an incorrect item is sent back to us, we reserve the right to: 

  • Reject the return entirely, or
  • Issue a partial refund if the item’s value has been reduced due to improper handling.

This applies to items that are worn, washed, damaged, altered, or returned with missing tags, security ribbons, or hygiene stickers. Returns with strong odours such as perfume or smoke will also be rejected.

If your return is not accepted, we will email you to explain our decision and provide details of the issues found. If you'd like the item returned to you, please let us know and we will issue an invoice for the return postage. 

Rejected items are held for 3 months from the date of the rejection email. If return postage is not paid and/or the item is not claimed within this time, they will be responsibly disposed of. 

This policy is in addition to, and does not affect, any of your legal rights under consumer protection laws.
