Glitter is shedding from my item, is it faulty?Updated 8 days ago

Glitter is shedding from my item — is this normal?

Yes, some glitter shedding is completely normal and expected with glitter fabrics. These materials are designed to catch the light and create a sparkly, eye-catching look, and part of that process involves surface glitter that can become loose.

Why does glitter shed?

Glitter fabrics are created by bonding glitter particles to the surface of the material. Although we use high-quality fabrics and take care to reduce shedding, it’s normal for some loose glitter to come off during handling, wear, or transit, particularly when the item is new. This shedding is a natural characteristic of the fabric and is not considered a fault or defect.

Will the glitter continue to shed over time?

Some light shedding may occur with wear, especially in areas of friction, but the overall look of the garment should remain intact. After the initial wear and a gentle shake or brush-off, the shedding should reduce.

Is a glitter-shedding item returnable?

If you feel the glitter loss is excessive, or if you’re simply not happy with the fabric, you’re welcome to return the item within 14 days of receiving your order as long as it’s unused, in its original condition, and all tags are still attached. Once received, we can offer you a refund, store credit, or exchange, depending on your preference and item eligibility.

Can I do anything to reduce glitter fallout?

While some glitter shedding is normal, storing your item in its original packaging can help prevent glitter transfer onto other clothing. You can also gently shake or brush off loose glitter before wearing.
